Providing tools
Bridging the gap
Practical training support in areas such as collective farmland stewardship, financial literacy, and navigating the planning system. We also provide farm visits, one to one support, resource guides and signposting to further services.
We conduct research into the needs of marginalised people in relation to land access, and what barriers are standing in the way. We do this so our work is led by the communities we serve.
We work to connect wealth holders, funders, lenders, and landowners with farmers and land stewards seeking land for community and collective benefit.

Pathways to Land Programme
In 2026, we partnered with Landmatch England to provide a 9-month support package for low income and BPOC (Black and people of colour) farmers.
Our 2024 report and forums highlighted the need for tailored programmes of support for racially marginalised landworkers, specifically in regards to financial literacy, peer mentoring, the planning system and collective land stewardship. Thanks to funding granted by Farming the Future, our collaboration with Landmatch England delivers on some of the things that are crucial to increase land access for those most marginalised by the sector, based on their lived experiences.
Our programme includes supporting landworkers in the South West and North West of England through:
facilitated online peer-networking and learning sessions, as well as training and knowledge exchange sessions in areas such as how to set up a farmers’ cooperative
funded visits to relevant farms e.g. those which are collectively stewarded, or run by those marginalised in the sector
We are paying for participants’ time and offering bespoke support to cohort members throughout the year. Participants in the programme also receive support from Landmatch England in land access.

Sowing Staying Power
We are partnering with the Community Food Growers' Network and Basic Income for Farmers on a programme of collective care for burnt out farmers.
During this project, we will be:
Listening to farmer needs, particularly those who are burnt out or have been burnt out in their roles
Providing a bespoke retreat tailored to burnt out farmer needs
Presenting ideas on how to inbuild collective care within the agroecology movement

Land redistribution
We are in an emergent process with other movement partners considering how to redistribute land in equitable and just ways.
